About UPS Freight
The Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation division of UPS is called UPS Freight. On August 8, 2005, UPS paid $1.25 billion to Central Pacific Corporation, the parent organization of the Union Pacific Railroad, to purchase Overnite Transportation Company (and its affiliate Motor Cargo).
